In biological classification, Galictis (Alias: Grison) A collective name for 2 species of ferret-shaped carnivores found in most areas of Central and South America. Can be domesticated when young. The ear face is wide, the legs are short, the body is slender, 40-50 cm long, the tail is 15-20 cm long, and the weight is 1-3 kg. The back is light gray or brown, the limbs, abdomen and cotton are black, and there is a white stripe on the forehead and both sides of the neck. Lives in groups and is active during the day. It is good at climbing trees, swimming, digging holes, and feeds on small animals and fruits. A litter gives birth to 2-4 offspring.

Description

Grisons measure up to 60 cm (24 in) in length, and weigh between 1 and 3 kg (2.2 and 6.6 lb). The lesser grison is slightly smaller than the greater grison. Grisons generally resemble a honey badger, but with a smaller, thinner body. The pelage along the back is a frosted gray with black legs, throat, face, and belly. A sharp white stripe extends from the forehead to the back of the neck.
